Hudsonville Runs Away With Early Lead In Victory
Zeeland East watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 12-1 loss to Hudsonville on Wednesday. Hudsonville scored on a single by S Zichterman, a single by S Fischer, and an error in the first inning.
The Chix struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Hudsonville, giving up 12 runs.
Kozak was credited with the victory for Hudsonville. She went five innings, allowing one run on four hits, striking out one and walking one.
Anna Jipping took the loss for the Chix . She surrendered six runs on six hits over two innings.
Anna Kaynor, Romelia Elizardo, Sydni Gebben, and Sydni Leonard each managed one hit to lead the Chix.
