The Zeeland Women's Water Polo team hosted the Lakeshore Tri Invite on Thursday evening and went 1-1 on the night. Zee Polo started out against #4 Hudsonville and fell 11-5 before rebounding with a win against Grand Haven 9-6.
Rylee Fowler led the team with 10 goals. Also scoring were: Kelsy Toth (2), Katelyn Inman (1), and Olivia Hamilton (1). In goal, Ray Dubois made 5 saves and Amily Pifer had 3. Kelsy Toth led the defensive charge with 9 total steals and Bri Johnson had 2 Field Blocks. Katelyn Inman drew 3 Exclusions to lead the team.
Next up for Zeeland is the District Seeding Tournament at home on Saturday. Zeeland plays West Ottawa at 9am , Jenison and 12:30pm, and Portage Co-Op at 4:00. Times are subject to change.
