GRAND HAVEN HIGH SCHOOL: 2
In their last home game of the season, the JV girls water polo team defeated Grand Haven, 12-2. The team started strong securing a 10-0 lead midway through the third quarter. The Buccaneers never gave up and played the team strong for the final quarter.
Chelsea Engelsman led the team in scoring with six goals. Rylee Fowler and Kelsy Toth each had two goals each while Annika DeYoung and Kayla Trevino had one. Annika also led the team in steals with three. Meanwhile, in goal, Ainsley Barense had nine saves.
The team will play their last regular season game this Thursday against Jenison and will finish the season at East Grand Rapids' end-of-the-year invite
