Zeeland East (13-3-2) defeated Grandville (5-11-1) by a 6-3 score on September 24th, overcoming a singles deficit by sweeping all five doubles matches. The doubles courts supplied the winning margin. At No. 1 doubles, Jacob Guerriero and Luke Hathaway edged Grandville’s Landon Nguyen and Will Bouwman 7-6 (4), 6-3. No. 3 partners Lukas Hafeman and Pierson Kolean added a 6-4, 6-2 victory, helping Zeeland East establish control across the doubles lineup. Grandville won three of four singles matches, including a marathon at No. 1 singles, where Evan Mann defeated Daniel Steenwyk 6-4, 0-6, 13-11 after splitting the first two sets. Zeeland East’s Oliver Reese provided the team’s singles win at No. 4, beating Milo McRivette 6-1, 7-5. The victory reinforced Zeeland East’s doubles strength as the team moved to 13-3-2.
