Zeeland East traveled to West Ottawa on Saturday for their annual alumni tournament.  Zeeland East was matched up against Spring Lake in game 1, while West Ottawa battled Grand Rapids Northview.  

After jumping out to an early 4-3 lead, Zeeland East couldn't hold Spring Lake down and lost by a score of 8-5.  Austin Keur scored 2 runs in the game while Charlie Lacny added an RBI single.  

Max Mulder takes an unfortunate loss on the mound.  Mulder pitched 4 and 2/3 innings strong, allowing 5 runs (2 earned) on 2 hits while striking out 8.  

In the second game, Zeeland East defeated West Ottawa by a score of 10-2.  Eli Nienhuis recorded the win on the mound for the Chix.  Nienhuis went 3 and 2/3 innings allowing 2 runs on 3 hits while striking out 4.  Evan Owens was solid in relief allowing no runs on 2 hits in 2 and 1/3 innings of work

Offensively, Zeeland East tallied 11 hits in the game. Charlie Lacny, Aidan Coutts and Joe Hilbink each had multiple hits in the game.  Lacny had a solo home run while while Coutts and Hilbink each added doubles.

Zeeland East moves their record to 25-6 on the season and travels to Mona Shores on Monday for their final OK-Green series.
