Zeeland East Loses Lead Early In Defeat 9-6
Zeeland East fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 9-6 loss to Holland Christian on Saturday.
Zeeland East put up five runs in the seventh inning. Zeeland East batters contributing to the big inning included Riley Comden, Kirsten Piatek, Sydni Gebben, and Miriam Dietsche, all driving in runs in the inning.
Megan Greene took the loss for Zeeland East. She allowed nine hits and four runs over four and two-thirds innings, striking out eight and walking zero.
Jordyn DeNeff, Taylor Hinson, Romelia Elizardo, Anna Jipping, Piatek, Comden, and Gebben each collected one hit to lead Zeeland East.
