Who East Girls Basketball lost to Northview 42-43 at home December 20. Jr. Cece Kuras scored a buzzerbeater for the Chix to end the first half and said, “we played a good game as a team, and had really good defence. Overall this was a very put together game.” The game started off with the Chix scoring early in the game, but Northview responded right after. This describes the duration of the game. With both teams having both skilled offense and defense, it kept the game exciting for everyone in the bleachers supporting both teams.In the 4th quarter with only 8 seconds left the Chix were up 42-40. Northview hit a late 3 pointer to take the lead and the win. Coach Troy Hammond said, “The girls did a phenomenal job executing a different defense strategy against a prolific scorer that was part of Northview’s team. We did a nice job limiting her and making other players uncomfortable.”
