ALLENDALE HIGH SCHOOL: 37
Girls Varsity basketball defeated Allendale by a score of 43-37 to improve to 2-0 on the season. A strong first half had the Chix leading 23-12, and the Chix built their lead up to 30-16 early in the third quarter. The Chix held off an Allendale comeback and earned the win with some clutch free throw shooting from Mirra Fenlon down the stretch.
The Chix were led by Lizzie Risdon, who posted a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Mirra Fenlon also scored 17 and chipped in 5 rebounds.
Next up, the Chix travel to West Ottawa on Tuesday to take on the Panthers.
