In a continuation game from Tuesday, that was delayed in the 6th inning due to darkness, Zeeland East held on to win 6-3 against rival Zeeland West.
The Chix were down 3-2 in the fifth inning when they tied the game on an error and managed to score 3 more runs in the top of the 6th on a double by Zach DeGraaf.
Degraaf started the game on the mound for Zeeland East and took a no decision. He pitched 4 innings, stricking out 7 and allowing 1 earned run on 4 hits. Kainan Bayn picks up the win in relief and Clayton Cochran pitched a perfect four outs for the save.
Zach DeGraaf led the offense for Zeeland East with 2 doubles and 2 RBI. Layden Byker also added 2 hits and 2 walks. Cobe Huizenga added two walks a single, 1 run scored and an RBI. Collin Arendsen also chipped in with a big single and RBI late in the game.
