In game one of the OK-Green doubleheader, Zeeland East defeated Holland by a score of 8-4. Holland took an early 4-0 lead after three innings by capitalizing on key Chix errors, but Zeeland East answered with 6 runs in the bottom of the 3rd inning. The Chix tacked on two more runs late to seal the win.
Adam Berghorst pitched the complete game win for Zeeland East, striking out 8 batters and allowing 5 hits in the game.
Michael Zeerip had a huge 2RBI single with the bases loaded to break the game open in the big 3rd inning. Ethan Houghtaling walked 3 times, had an RBI and a single and run scored in the game. Adam Berghorst also had a double and RBI.
