Zeeland East traveled to Holland on Thursday and completed the 3-game sweep of the Dutch with a score of 15-4. The Chix recorded 13 hits and made only one error in the game.
Josh Fusco started on the mound and recorded the win pitching 6 solid innings for the Chix. Fusco struck out 4 and scattered 5 hits, only allowing 1 earned run.
Offensively, Fusco also paced the Chix with 2 hits (1 double), 2 RBI, 2 runs scored and a stolen base. Adam Berghorst also added two hits (1 double) and 3 RBI. Layden Byker, Kainan Bayn and Cobe Huizenga also each added 2 hits.
Zeeland East improves their record to 10-3 (4-2 OK Green). The Chix travel to Wyoming on Friday for a non-conference double header.
