Zeeland East dropped a heartbreaker of the series finale to Byron Center on Thursday by a score of 4-3. Zeeland East pounded out 10 hits in the game and had the tying and go ahead run on base in the bottom of the 7th inning, but couldn’t get the job done.
Josh Fusco pitched a gem in the loss for Zeeland East. Fusco went 6 innings, allowing 3 earned runs, scattering 9 hits and striking out 9.
