In game 1 of an OK-Green doubleheader, Zeeland East defeated visiting Unity Christian by a score of 9-3.
Adam Berghorst picked up his 5th win of the season on the mound, pitching 6 and 2/3 innings. Berghorst struck out 8 batters, scattered 4 hits and gave up 3 un-earned runs. Peyton Remick recorded the final out of the game to seal the win.
Offensively, the Chix were led by Freshman Ethan Houghtaling who had 2hits, 3 runs scored and an RBI. Collin Arendsen also added 2 hits and 3 RBI and Berghorst also added 2 hits.
