Zeeland East dropped a non-conference game on Wednesday afternoon as they traveled to Hudsonville. The Chix trailed 9-6 in the 4th inning before Hudsonville scored 7 runs with 2 outs, putting the game out of reach.
Clayton Cochran and Ethan Houghtaling each had doubles for the Chix, Cobe Huizenga had two RBI while Kainan Bayn and Adam Berghorst each walked twice.
Zeeland East travels to Unity Christian on Thursday to finish a 3-game series.
