In game one of a Saturday double-header at beautiful DeWitt Field at Cornerstone University, Zeeland East defeated Coopersville by a score of 12-2.

Adam Berghorst pitched 4 innings, allowing only one hit in the game and 2 unearned runs in the win. Michael Zeerip struck out the side in the 5th to end the game.

Offensively the Chix were led by Clayton Cochran who had two hits in the game, including an inside the park homerun. Adam Berghorst added two hits in the game, while Ethan Houghtaling chipped in with a double. Cobe Huizenga drew 3 walks, scored 2 runs and stole 2 bases.
