In the opening game of the final OK-Green series, Zeeland East lost in a pitchers dual to Holland Christian by a score of 2-1 in 9 innings. Clayton Cochran pitched the complete game loss, scattering 8 hits, while striking out 5 and allowing only 2 runs.
Zeeland East took the early 1-0 lead scoring in the 4th inning when Kainan Bayn stole third and scored on an overthrow. Holland Christian answered with one run in the 6th inning to tie the game. The final run came in the bottom of the 9th with two outs to give HC the win.
Cobe Huizenga had two hits in the game and stole 2 bases. Kainan Bayn was on base 3 times (1 walk, 1 hit by pitch and 1 single), stole 3 bases and scored the lone run. Josh Fusco added a double.
Zeeland East goes to 23-10 on the year and 10-6 in the OK-Green.
