Zeeland East completed the three-game OK-Green series sweep over visiting Holland on Friday afternoon. The game ended in dramatic fashion with a 9th inning walk-off squeeze bunt by Jeff Agar, scoring Logan Brouwer to win the game.
Adam Berghorst started on the mound for Zeeland East and gets a no decision. Berghorst pitched 5 innings of no-hit baseball before leaving with a 2-1 lead. The only run was unearned, Berghorst struck out 9 in five innings.
Ethan Houghtaling picked up the win in relief, throwing the final 4 innings, allowing only one run, on one hit.
Offensively the Chix were led by Logan Brouwer who had two hits and two walks. Isaac Willemstein also added two hits while Michael Zeerip added a double. Zeeland East improves their record to 5-2 overall and 3-0 in the OK-Green.
