Zeeland East traveled to Hudsonville for their annual Eagle Tourney on Saturday.  In game one, Zeeland East was defeated by South Christian by a score of 7-4.  It was a tie game (4-4) in the top of the seventh when South Christian hit a two-run home-run to seal the victory.  

Luke Gruppen led the offense for Zeeland East with two hits a run scored and an RBI.  Ethan Houghtaling and added a hit, two walks, two stolen bases and a run scored.  Logan Brouwer also had a hit and an RBI in the loss.

Jeff Agar took the loss in relief for Zeeland East.

In game two, Zeeland East defeated Haslett in dramatic fashion.  Tanner Tresemer hit a two out double to score Logan Brouwer for the walk-off win in the bottom of the 8th inning by a score of 6-5.  

Luke Gruppen started on the mound and went four solid innings before passing the ball to Caleb Schrotenboer for two innings of relief.  Ethan Houghtaling picked up the win in relief, pitching a perfect 7th and 8th inning for the chix.

Offensively, Tresemer led the way with two hits and the game winning RBI double.  Ethan DeWitt and Isaac Willemstein also each added two hits and a run scored.  

Hudsonville defeated Haslett in game one by a score of 3-0 and won the tournament by defeating South Christian 12-4 in the final game.

Zeeland East improves to 8-6 on the season and travel to Unity Christian on Tuesday to resume OK-Green action.
