In game two of the OK-Green series, Zeeland East defeated Unity Christian by a score of 8-1. The three Zeeland East pitchers combined for a complete game 1-hitter. Peyton Remick recorded the win on the mound, throwing 4 and 1/3 innings, allowing zero hits, striking out 4 and walking 3.
Jeff Agar and Collin Arendsen each had a pair of hits in the game.
In the final game of the series, Zeeland East lost to Unity Christian by a score of 3-0. Ethan Houghtaling was solid on the mound in the loss, pitching 6 innings, giving up 6 hits, while striking out 4. It was a 0-0 game in the top of the 6th inning when Unity strung three singles together to take the lead.
Offensively the Chix hit the ball hard right at the defenders and Stephen Nelson recorded the only hit in the game.
Zeeland East (10-7) wins the series and now stands at 5-4 in the OK-Green conference.
