In game one of the double-header, Zeeland East was defeated in extra innings by Hamilton by a score of 6-2. Adam Berghorst pitched 7 innings, recording a no-decision in the game. He allowed 2 runs on 4 hits, walked 1 and struck out 12. Zeeland East lead most of the ball game 2-1 until hamilton scratched a run to tie the game in the 6th. Hamilton then scored 4 runs in the top of the 8th to seal the victory.
Offensively Zeeland East had 4 hits in the game. Stephen Nelson and Collin Arendsen each had RBI singles.
In game 2, Zeeland East defeated Hamilton by a score of 2-0. Ethan Houghtaling pitched a complete-game one-hit shutout. The lone hit was an infield single in the 7th inning. Houghtaling struck out 11 batters and walked 4.
The offense was lead by Sage Kraai who had two hits. Peyton Remick provided the winning 2RBI hit in the 6th inning.
