Zeeland East traveled to Hamilton on Thursday and defeated the Hawkeyes to win the 3-game series. Zeeland East had the bats come alive, tallying 16 hits in the game, winning by a score of 11-3.
Ethan Houghtaling, Stephen Nelson, Sage Kraai, Peyton Remick, Luke Gruppen and Ethan DeWitt each had two hits in the game, while Tanner Tresemer had 3. Tresemer, Houghtaling and Collin Arendsen each had doubles.
Peyton Remick started the game on the mound, going 4 strong innings in the win. Remick allowed only one earned run in the first inning on a Jacob Visscher solo homerun. Remick only allowed one other hit and struck out 3. Jeff Agar finished the final three innings for Zeeland East, allowing no runs and giving up two hits.
Zeeland East improves to 12-8 on the season and 7-5 in the OK-Green.
