Zeeland East hosted their annual varsity baseball tournament on Saturday with South Christian, Mona Shores, and Sparta.  In game one, Mona Shores defeated South Christian by a score of 7-4.  At the same time, Zeeland East defeated Sparta by a score of 7-3.  Jeff Agar pitched a complete game for the Chix, scattering 6 hits and striking out two in the victory.

Offensively, Agar also chipped in with two hits and RBI and run scored.  Collin Arendsen added a double and RBI, while Sage Kraai was on base three times and scored a run.

In the Championship game, Zeeland East and Mona were knotted at zero through 7 innings and Mona won in the 8th by a score of 4-0.  Ethan Houghtaling got the no-decision for Zeeland East, he started the game and went 5 innings, striking out 7 and not allowing a hit.  Michael Zeerip pitched in relief, pitching a perfect 6 and 7th inning before Mona Shores capitalized on errors in the 8th inning to score 4 unearned runs.

Offensively, Logan Brouwer had two of the Zeeland East's three hits in the game.

Sparta defeated South Christian 12-6 in the consolation game.
