Zeeland East hosted Zeeland West on Tuesday for an OK-Green conference double header. In game one, Zeeland East won a pitchers duel by a score of 1-0. Ethan Houghtalin pitched a complete game, one hit, shutout for the Chix, striking out 11 and not walking a batter. Trevor Kilinski singled in the 4th inning for Zeeland West to break up the no-hitter.
Offensively, Zeeland East tallied 9 hits in the game, but could only score one run in the first inning on back to back singles by Tanner Tresemer and Jeff Agar. Agar and Ethan DeWitt each had two hits in the game, Agar had the one RBI and Michael Zeerip scored a run.
Game 2 was more of the same with Zeeland West coming out on top of another pitchers duel by a score of 2-0. Jeff Agar pitched 5 innings in the loss for the Chix, scattering 6 hits, striking out 4 and allowing only one run. Michael Zeerip allowed one run in two innings of relief.
Zeeland East tallied 6 hits on offense, but couldn't scratch a run. Jeff Agar had two hits, while Ethan Houghtaling had a single and stolen base.
