Zeeland East Baseball hosted Whitehall for a doubleheader on Saturday and came away with two wins (10-1 and 13-4).  In game one, Trevor Raade recorded the win on the mound, pitching 4 innings and allowing only 1 run on 1 hit and struck out 8.  Riley Wilson and Sam Cochran pitched scoreless relief innings to end the game.

Offensively, The Chix recorded 8 hits.  Tanner Tresemer and Luke Gruppen had two hits a piece, Jeff Agar and Gruppen each had doubles in the game.

In game two, Zeeland East was led by Sam Cochran who had two doubles, two stolen bases and scored 4 runs.  Cole Machiela added two RBI while Ethan Houghtaling tallied two hits and Aidan Fredericks had a 3RBI triple to break the game open.

Trenton Lynema recorded the win on the mound for the Chix, while Luke Gruppen was stellar in releif.  Zeeland East (5-1) hosts Grand Rapids Union for an OK Green doubleheader on Tuesday.
