Zeeland East hosted Grand Rapids Union for an OK Green double header on Tuesday.  Zeeland East swept the Redhawks in two 5-inning games (11-0, 14-1) with dominant pitching performances by Ethan Houghtaling and Sam Cochran.

In game one, Houghtaling took a perfect game into the bottom of the 5th inning with two outs before a seeing eye single was hit.  Houghtaling struck out 14 of the 15 outs in the game.  Offensively the Chix tallied 11 hits, Houghtaling added two hits (triple, double) 3RBI and two runs scored.  Trevor Raade also chipped in with two hits and two runs scored.

In game two, Sam Cochran allowed only 1 hit and 0 earned runs while striking out 8 batters in a 5-inning complete game win.  Cochran also helped offensively with 2RBI, two stolen bases and a run scored.  Trevor Raade added two more hits while Brooks Huizenga added a triple and Drew Wyckoff had a 2RBI double.  

Zeeland East (7-1, 4-1 OK Green) travels to Grand Rapids Union on Thursday to finish the series.
