Zeeland East finished the 3-game sweep against Grand Rapids Union on Thursday afternoon, winning by a score of 18-0 in 3 innings. Zeeland East had 12 hits in the game, Brooks Huizenga led the way with two. Jeff Agar and Trevor Raade each had 2RBI, while Luke Gruppen, Sam Cochran and Brandon Claerbaut each scored two runs.
Caleb Schrotenboer threw a 3-inning no-hitter, striking out 5 batters. The Chix (8-1, 5-1 OK Green) travel to Hudsonville on Friday for a single non-league game.
