HUDSONVILLE HIGH SCHOOL: 10
Zeeland East traveled to Hudsonville for a non-league single game on Friday afternoon and was defeated by a score of 10-2. Zeeland East had 8 hits in the game (3 triples and 2 doubles) but could only scratch two runs in the contest. Ethan Houghtaling, Luke Gruppen and Jeff Agar each had two hits, while Tanner Tresemer and Aidan Fredricks each hit a triple.
Luke Gruppen started the game on the mound and pitched a solid 3 innings but takes the loss on the mound allowing two runs on 5 hits, while striking out 6. Hudsonville added 4 runs in the fourth inning and 4 runs in the 5th inning to break the game open.
Zeeland East 8-2 travels to Hopkins on Monday for a single non-league game at 4:15.
