Zeeland East completed the 3-game, OK Green series sweep of Holland on Thursday.  With the victory, the Chix have now mathematically guaranteed at least a share of the OK Green conference title.  

Ethan Houghtaling tallied the win on the mound for Zeeland East.  Houghtaling threw a complete game (7-innings) allowig 4 hits and 2 runs (1 earned) while striking out 14.

Offensively the Chix were led by Sam Cochran, Ethan Houghtaling and Brandon Claerbaut who each had two hits in the game.  Cochran also scored two runs and had a stolen base.  Jeff Agar had 2 RBI while Trent Lynema added huge 2RBI double in the game to help secure the victory.

The Chix improve their overall record to 25-5 and 17-1 in the OK Green.

Zeeland East will play on Saturday at Hope College Boeve Stadium at 10am for a non-conference double-header with Watervliet who is a top ranked team in division 3.
