Zeeland East varsity baseball won the Sand Creek invitational on Saturday defeating Concord 12-0 and Sand Creek 16-6.
Max Salas recorded the win in game 1, pitching 3 innings, allowing 1 hit, no runs and striking out 5. Brenston Brown was 3-3 with three doubles in the game.
Lukas Assa was the winning pitcher in game 2, throwing 3 innings and allowing 1 run on 3 hits while striking out 6. Aidan Fredricks had 3 hits while Charlie Lacny had 2, including a 2-run home run.
Zeeland East improves to 7-2 on the year and hosts Muskegon Mona Shores for a doubleheader on Tuesday.
