WHITEHALL HIGH SCHOOL: 0
Zeeland East traveled to beautiful DeWitt field at Cornerstone University on Friday night for a double-header against Whitehall. The Chix won both games with scores of 8-1 and 1-0.
Aidan Fredricks recorded the win in game 1, pitching 4 innings and allowing 1 run while striking out 4 batters. Offensively, Aidan Fredricks, Easton Remick and Trevor Raade all hit doubles.
In game 2, Lukas Assa pitched a complete game shutout. Assa went 5 innings, striking out 8 batters. Brenston Brown hit a double and Austin Keur scored the winning run in the bottom of the 5th inning on a deep Aidan Jaworowski fly ball.
The Chix improved to 9-5 on the year.
