Zeeland East varsity baseball defeated Holland Christian in the district semifinal by a score of 6-4 and then fell to Hamilton in the district final on Saturday by a score of 8-7.  

In game one vs. Holland Christian, Zeeland East relief pitcher Easton Remick recorded the win.  Easton replaced starter Max Salas who pitched 5 innings and allowed 4 runs on 5 hits.  Remick pitced a perfect final two innings to secure the victory.

Offensively, Jace Fenlon led the Chix with two hits and 3 RBI in the game.  Max Salas added a double, while Brenston Brown, Charlie Lacny and Trevor Raade all added RBI's.

In the district final, Zeeland East jumped out to an early 6-0 lead in the top of the 2nd inning, scoring 6 runs on 4 hits and taking advantage of 3 walks.  Hamilton answered back with 5 runs of their own in the bottom half and tied the game with 1 run in the 3rd inning.  Both teams added a run in the 4th inning locking the game at 7-7 going into the 5th.  Hamilton capitalized on a sac fly after a triple to take the lead 8-7 and holding on for the win.

Easton Remick recorded the loss in relief allowing 1 run in 2 an 2/3 innings.  Starter Trevor Raade went 3 and 1/3 innings allowing 7 runs on 6 hits.

Offensively the Chix were led by senior Noah Ledford who had two hits and two RBI in the game.  Charlie Lacny and Trevor Raade each also added two hits in the game.

The Chix end their season with a 25-13-1 record.
