Zeeland East hosted Grand Rapids Union for an OK Green double-header on Tuesday. The Chix defeated the Redhawks 10-0 in game 1 and 17-0 in game 2.
In game 1, Easton Remick picked up the win on the mound. Remick went 4 innings allowing zero runs on one hit while striking out 7. Nick Williams finished the final inning of the game with 3 quick ground balls.
Offensively, Aidan Jaworowski led the offense with 3 hits, including a double and 2 runs scored. Easton Remick, Austin Keur, Charlie Lacny and Max Salas all added 2 hits in the game. Salas and Lacny each had doubles.
In game 2, Lukas Assa pitched all 3 innings allowing 1 hit and zero runs while striking out 7.
Offensively, Max Salas had multiple hits in the game while Chris Seay had a 3RBI triple.
Zeeland East improves to 27-2 on the season and 17-0 in the OK Green. The Chix will travel to Union on Thursday to finish the series.
