UNION HIGH SCHOOL: 0
Zeeland East completed the 3-game sweep of Grand Rapids Union on Thursday, clinching the outright OK-Green championship! Max Salas pitched a 3-inning no hitter, striking out 7 batters and walking 1 in the victory.
Offensively, the Chix had 13 hits in 3 innings. Max Salas led the way with 3 hits, 1 double and 4 RBI and 3 runs scored. Trevor Raade also added 2 hits while Chris Seay added a double. Aaron Keegstra and Nick Williams chipped in with 2 RBI a piece.
Zeeland East improves to a perfect 18-0 in the OK Green. Mona Shores and Wyoming both are in second place with a 13-5 record.
Overall the Chix move to 28-2 on the season and travel to West Ottawa for a tournament on Saturday.
