Zeeland East traveled to Muskegon on Tuesday for an OK Green double-header. The Chix defeated the Big Reds by a score of 17-0 (3 innings) in game 1 and 19-0 (3 innings) in game 2.
In game 1, Evan Owens recorded the 3-inning win on the mound. Owens struck out 7 batters in the game and only allowed 1 hit.
Offensively, Joe Hilbink and JJ Salas each belted a home run for the Chix, while Koby Windeler added a triple and Aidan Coutts had a double. Quincy Thome also added a pair of hits in the game and Charlie Lacny was hit by pitches 3 times.
