Zeeland East traveled to Holland Christian to open up the 2025 baseball season. The Chix got off on the right foot winning the conference and season opener by a score of 16-3.
Max Mulder recorded the win on the mound for Zeeland East. Mulder went 3 innings, struck out 4 and gave up just one hit with no runs. The offense was led by Ryan Kuzma who was 3 for 3 with 2 doubles, 2 runs scored, a walk and 5 RBI. Peyton Davis also added 3 hits, while Cam Jaworowski, Quincy Thome and Mason Raade each added 2. The Chix tallied 17 hits in the game and 5 doubles.
Game 2 was suspended for darkness with Zeeland East leading 14-4 after 3 innings. The game will continue with game three of the series to follow on Monday 3/31.
