The Chix were home on Tuesday evening as the Byron Center Bulldogs paid a visit to Zeeland.  The Chix played a strong game and won 62-47.  The Chix trailed 31-30 at halftime, but the Chix ratcheted up their defensive in the 2nd half.  The Chix out scored Byron 32-16 in the 2nd half and went on an 11-2 run to start the fourth quarter to pull away from the Bulldogs.

Overall, the Chix were efficient on offense.  The Chix shot 52% from the field and 79% from the free-throw line and committed only 11 turnovers.  Leading the Chix in scoring was Trip Riemersma, who scored 20 points and grabbed 6 boards.  Brandon Claerbaut scored 16 points on 6 for 6 shooting from the field.  Nate Claerbaut added 13 points and 6 block shots.  Ethan Houghtaling filled up the stats sheet with 7 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 assists.

The Chix head to the road Friday night as they travel to Hamilton to play the Hawkeyes.  Game time is around 7:30 pm after the girl's game.
