The Chix hosted Mona Shores in the first game of a  four game homestand.  The Chix started the game slowly as the Sailors took an early 11-3 lead in the first quarter.  After a Coach Carlson timeout, Trip Riemersma caught fire, scoring the first 11 points of the game to help tie the score at 11.  The Chix continued to play well and they led 17-16 after the first quarter.  The Chix extended the lead to 10 points at halftime as Trip Riemersma continued to remain red-hot, scoring 21 first-half points.

Midway through the 3rd quarter, the Chix went on a 10-0 run to extend their lead to 17 points and the Chix extended their lead to 19 points after 3 quarters.  The Chix won the game 67-40. 

The Chix were led on offense by Trip Riemersma, who scored a season-high 25 points in the game, punctuating his big game with a monster 2 handed dunk in the fourth quarter. Trip added 6 rebounds and 4 steals.  Brandon Claerbaut scored 11 points, dished out 5 assists, and had 5 steals.    Nate Claerbaut just missed a double-double with 10 points and 9 rebounds. Nate added 5 assists and blocked 6 shots.  Ethan Houghtaling had 7 points and 3 assists while Adam Cassel scored 6 points on 2 three-point shots. 

The Chix are back in action Saturday as they host Forest Hills Eastern.  The game should start at 1 pm.
