ZEELAND WEST HIGH SCHOOL: 63
The Chix boys basketball team picked up their first OK Green Conference win on the road against rival Zeeland West, 67-63. After leading 15-13 after the first quarter, they extended their lead behind 9 2nd quarter points by Levi Tilden to 36-27 at halftime. A back and forth and hard fought second half by both teams brought junior Jace Fenlon (9 points) to the free throw line with 8 seconds where he extended the lead to 4. The Chix were led in scoring by Tilden with 19 points behind 5 three pointers and senior Conner Schipper with a career high 26 points. The Dux host Muskegon on Friday night to round out the first round of conference play.
