The Chix traveled to Muskegon Tuesday night to face a first-place team in the OK Green Conference, the Muskegon Big Reds.  The Big Reds jumped out to a 12-0 lead to start the game and led 24-7 after the first quarter and 37-23 at halftime.  The Chix battled the Big Reds throughout the game, but it wasn't enough and the Chix fell to the Big Reds, 79-49.

Individually for the Chix, Junior BJ Walker led the team in scoring, with 14 points.  Walker added 3 rebounds and 2 assists for the Chix.  Senior Layne Risdon scored 12 points and grabbed 7 rebounds.  Freshman Will Drnek added 10 points while Junior Mickey Voss chipped in with 5 points on the evening.

The Chix travel to Holland High School this Friday night for Varsity night at the Holland High Dutch Dome.  The Girls Varsity teams start the action at 5:30 pm.  The Holland and Zeeland Unified teams are up next after the Girls game concludes, with tip time approximately at 6:45 pm.  The Boys Varsity teams wrap up the evening, with the game to start around 7:30 pm.  Come out and make the short trip to Holland to support your Zeeland East teams this Friday night!
