The Chix of Zeeland East clinched an outright OK Green Conference championship Friday night with a convincing 36-13 win over the Crusaders of Unity Christian.  The Chix end the regular season with a fine 8-1 record. Senior RB Josh Fusco  and Senior QB Gabe Taylor once again led the offense.  Fusco gained 195 yards on 20 carries with 3 TDs. Taylor had 190 yards on 16 attempts with 1 TD. Fusco also added an interception from his safety position on defense. The defense was led by Senior LB Boone Bonnema (7 tackles, 1 TFL), Freshman Tag Bonnema (6 tackles), Senior DE Ryan Bellis (6 tackles, 2TFL). Senior DB Logan Brouwer also had 1 interception which was returned for 44 yards.
