On a beautiful night for football the Zeeland East Chix knocked off rival Zeeland West by the score of 42-24.  After trailing at halftime the Chix exploded for three 3rd quarter touchdowns to control the game.  Offensively Senior QB Gabe Taylor was 8-16 passing for 192 yards and 2 TDs. Senior WR Collin Arendsen (2 catches for 79 yds and a TD) and Junior WR Tommy Zegunis (2 catches for 55yds and a TD) led the team in receiving.  Taylor also carried the ball 26 times for 171 yards and 2 more TDs.  Senior RB Alex Stockdale chipped in with 92 yards on 13 carries and 2 TDs. Senior LB Boone Bonnema led the Chix in tackles with 12. Senior DB Austin Bolman had 10 tackles.  The Chix next opponent will be the Panthers of Jackson Parma Western either next Friday night or Saturday afternoon.
