On a blustery Friday night the Chix of Zeeland East defeated the Panthers of Parma Western to win a regional championship by the score of 50-24. The 1-2 punch of Senior QB Gabe Taylor and Senior RB Josh Fusco once again led the Chix offensively. Fusco had 15 carries for 185 yards and 3 TDs and Taylor had 184 yards on 10 carries and 2 TDs. The defense was led by Junior DE Brendan Duneghy (11 tackles), Senior DE Ryan Bellis (8 tackles), and Freshman LB Tag Bonnema (9 tackles).  Next up for the Chix will be a state semi-finals matchup with the Big Reds of Muskegon High School.
