In their first home game of the season, the Chix of Zeeland East lost to the Cougars of Grand Rapids Catholic Central by the score of 35-17. The Chix were led offensively by Junior QB Ethan Houghtaling who 18-32 passing for 196 yards and 1 TD. The leading receivers were Cebastin Hunderman with 7 catches for 76 yards and Ryan Stockdale with 6 catches for 72 yards and 1 TD. Adam Cassel led the Chix in rushing with 60 yards on 13 carries. The defense was led by Brendan Duneghy (13 tackles), Joshua Folkers (8 tackles), and Tag Bonnema( 7 tackles).  The Chix will take on the Hamilton Hawkeyes next week Friday at Zeeland Stadium.
