Despite the great football weather, the Chix of Zeeland fell to their arch rival Zeeland West by the score of 34-14. The Chix fall to 2-1 on the season. Offensively the Chix were led by Senior QB Ethan Houghtaling who was 12-17 passing for 188 yds. He also carried the ball 16 times for 86 yds.The Chix leading receivers  were Freshman Derek Pennington (5 catches, 53 yds), Junior Cebe Hunderman (4 catches, 70 yds), and Senior Sam Cochra ( 3 catches, 65 yds).  Hunderman also had 91 yds on 15 carries. Senior  Adam Cassel chipped with 67 yds on 10 carries. The defense was led by Senior Collin DeKraker and Cassel with 12 tackles a piece. 

Next week Friday the Big Reds of Muskegon High School will visit Zeeland Stadium. Game time is 7:00PM.
