Zeeland East took down the Wyoming Wolves 60-6 in their homecoming game. Zeeland East started on defense and came out strong, getting a 3-and-out and forcing a punt that was returned by Sophmore Coby Miller for a touchdown to go up early 7-0. “Easy catch, the blockers gave me an open lane to get through and get an easy touchdown” Miller stated. Zeeland East remained dominant throughout the game especially on the ground. Zeeland had 3 different guys run the ball in on the ground. Defensively, Zeeland never let the Wolves inside the redzone and only allowed one deep pass touchdown. “We came out early, played extremely well on special teams, the defense settled down after their one big score and I'm really proud with how we played tonight.” Zeeland East’s Coach Woodruff stated after the game.
Zeeland East moves to 3-2 for the season, still in playoff contention and will compete against South Christian October 4th @7:00.
