The Chix participated in the new event hosted by Spring Lake at the Spring Lake Country Club. The event honored the former Coach of the Lakers who was the Varsity Coach for 50 years.
The event used the Stableford point system to crown the Champion by adding four players points together for a team score. Points are awarded for Eagles (5), Birdies (2) Pars (1)and Bogeys (0) while double bogeys or higher are (-2). The Chix scored a 7 putting them in 7th place. The team was led by Davis Courtright who shot 79 and earned 9 points. Cole Immink scored an 80 for 7 points while Derrek Sterken had a 90 for -4 and Quinn Custer had a 93 for -5. It was an interesting way to score an event and it was a great day to play one of the nicest courses in West Michigan.
Tomorrow the Chix will be playing the final Jamboree of the season at Clearbrook Golf Course.
