ZE open the week with a tough 5 to 3 defeat to Unity Christian on Wednesday.  The Chix were swept in the doubles but took 3 of 4 singles matches. The defeat dropped to Chix to 0-1-1 in league play.

On Saturday the Chix rebounded by sweeping Yale 8 to 0 in the first match on the day.  The second match pitted ZE against hometown Williamston.  Some may have been confused when the Schanski familly invaded the facility to watch not only their son, but also their nephew from Williamston.  In fact the soccer team was also playing that starred yet another of the family.  In the end, Brady pulled off a nice win at 1S and Seth -VanTimmeren outlasted a very strong Gavin Beck at 4S.  Seth won his match 2-6, 7-6, 13-11.  Also taking victories for the Chix was Charlie Reese (2S) and the team of Easton Beukema/Reed Kolesar (2D).  The match ended in a 4 to 4 tie.  

ZE returns home on Monday to face Holland.  Senior night activities will preview the Chix/Dux match on Wednesday.
