The Zeeland East Wrestling team competed at the Allendale Invitational on Saturday, January 5, 2019.  Allendale is a 16-team individual tournament.  The East wrestling team finished with eight (8) medal winners on the day.  Carter Hinson continued his great season by finishing as East's sole varsity Champion at 119 lbs.  Carter, ranked 7th in the State by michigangrappler.com, beat Cristian Perez of Allendale who was ranked 4th in the State by michigangrappler.  Joel Ledford (145 lbs) placed second.  Noah Ledford (125 lbs) placed 4th.  Gavin Clark (160) and Josh Molewyk (171) each placed 5th with Marty Landes (112) and Dereck Turner (285) placing 6th.  The tournament also includes a "B" tournament.  Bracyn Timmer (130) finished the day in 1st place. 

Zeeland East finished the day in 7th Place overall with 102 points above 8th place Allegan (82 points).  Whitehall was the team champion of the day with 232 points.
