Zeeland East Wrestling faced off against Byron Center and host Forest Hills Eastern on Wednesday night. Zeeland East opened the night with a hard fought loss to Byron Center 26-54. Zeeland East then defeated host Forest Hills Eastern 39-38 winning a tie by the 5th tie breaking criteria (most falls). Going 2-0 on the night for Zeeland East were Marty Landes (125), Carter Hinson (135), Joel Ledford (160), and Andrew DeVries (285).
Zeeland East has this weekend off and will return to the mats next Wednesday at Zeeland East verse Zeeland West and East Grand Rapids.
