Zeeland East Wrestling hosted Zeeland West Wrestling, East Grand Rapids, and Grand Rapids Christian tonight. In the first dual of the night, the battle for the Bird Belt, Zeeland East defeated Zeeland West 55-17. The Zeeland Youth Wrestling Club provided the Bird Belt as a traveling trophy for the annual battle between East and West. ZE Wrestling then defeated East Grand Rapids 46-24 to wrap up the night. Undefeated wresters on the night for ZE Wrestling were Marty Landes (125), Sean Bareman (130), Carter Hinson (135), Noah Ledford (140), Nick Wichers (160), Joel Ledford (171), and Andrew DeVries (285).
Zeeland East Wrestling takes to the mat again this weekend in Pine River.
